Replying to Pulled out PC card by accident on Laptop

Hi,

I have a Belkin Wireless Adpater and I plug it into the slot on my laptop called (I think) A PCI Card slot. I accidentally pulled it out the wrong way, and now the card won't go back in.

I tried searching Google, but there were no results.

Any ideas? Here is a picture of my laptop with the card slot, and the card on the keyboard:

Any ideas?

yeh, no the card (as far as I can see is not damaged) And if it comes to it, how do I disable the locking mechanisim?

this involves taking the comp apart and gaining access to the pcmica slot. Once getting there, u can either replace the whole slot (if it is not being soldered to the mainboard) or remove the lever that used to psuh the card back out

cheers ...

Can't I just pull the lever out with force?

In the picture it looks like the lever is still sticking out. Have you tried pushing the lever back in? That's how you usually eject the card (at least it is in my lappy). Maybe if you push it back in, you will then be able to insert the card and all will be well.

Well, thanks very much! I got it fixed thanks to the help of B737! What I did was add all the local ip's on the network on all the computers in the house and the problem was fixed. I added the ip's 192.168.2.1 right throught to .9.

Thanks for the help!

What does that have to do with your OP?
