Overclocking I6000 1.60Ghz same way as 1.3Ghz?

Is it possible to overclock this with the SAME pinmod as seen at http://www.overclockers.com/tips204/ ?

My CPU is an Intel Pentium M stock clocked at 1.60 GHz, while the one on that tutorial is for a 1.3Ghz Celeron M. Should the jumper be placed in the same holes?

Also, is it possible to overclock the onboard GPU that was included with the I6000
(not referring to the x300, I'm talking the onboard Intel graphics)?

Any information is greatly appreciated. I've searched and have already overclocked my x300 on my I6000, but a friend has the onboard graphics and we both have the Pentium M 1.60 GHz. Thank you!

1. Which Pentium M? The 725 or the 730 (they both run at 1.6GHz)? Need to know this as it is essential to the pinmod. Very basically, the pin mod overclocks by forcing the CPU to run at a 533MHz FSB, so in this case you would go from 1.6GHz to >2.1GHz. But, won't work with both varieties:
- If it is the 725, it runs on a 400MHz FSB, and yes you can pin mod it.
- However, if you have the 730, it already runs on a 533MHz FSB and therefore you cannot pinmod.

2. You cannot effectively overclock the onboard video. Even if you did, would not see any appreciable gain. It is quite simply not made for anything but basic gaming and application use.

Thanks, Stu.

Ooh, okay. Upon further inspection with SiSoftware's Sandra, my CPU is of the 400MHz variety, so I guess it's the 725.

Is the pinmod placed in same spot as the one in the link of my original post?

The link you’ve provided is not taking me to a pin modding guide, but I’m supplying you with one.

I was going to purchase a 1.7 from someone here in the forum, but it seems like I have to beg someone to take my money. After pulling a few hours in school and also doing part time work, my patience just can’t take begging someone to take my money LOL!

Good luck on the mod, and let us know how it went?

And here's a pic posted by Mr. K6 showing the pin layout.

I'm so ready to do this mod.
