quick question about new problems

Thread Starter
I had a two quick questions about a couple of problems that have come to my attension about my 8790 recently. Maybe someone has experienced similiar ones.

They both have to do with leaving my computer on for a long amount of time (2 or 3 days).

The first is that it seems that sometimes when i leave it on for awhile my mouse will just decide randomly that it doesn't want to work anymore so then I have to use the trackpad instead. Usually if i restart the machine it will work fine, but this latest time it has decided not to work still.

And secondly since the mouse wasn't working i tried to turn off the computer to restart, but it wouldn't turn off. I had to hold down the power button to get it to shut down.

if anyone has any suggestions for me I would apprieciate it, or if you can direct me to another thread that might have answers.
thanks

Not sure, but there have been some problems on some SAGERs (haven't heard of it on an 8790 yet, but who knows) with the standby or hibernation interferring with the keyboard and other devices. On my 8886 it shuts down my wifi. At least it did with my old NetGear. I also seem to get it somewhat with my newer D-Link but not nearly as often.

Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to solve the problem. Its says it wants a better keyboard driver but there isn't one.
