My sagers screen flickers black and shuts off!! please help

I just bought this laptop and im already experiencing some troubles =(

when the computer boots up, there is a quick black flicker as the smart battery system loads up.

also the same flicker appears when vista asks me to block or allow programs

another problem is when im playing a game on the computer the screen flickers then turns black

the music of the game still plays but the screen is completley black and i have to manually shut it down

my specs are

2.5ghz core 2 duo
4g ram
nvdia 8600 gt
vista - 64 bit
robson turbo memory 1g

i already spoke to sager..and they were beyond unhelpfull
my only option it seems is to send the laptop back

but i was hoping maybe anyone knows how to fix it?

You might get more support in the appropriate forum - the 88xx series of notebooks never had those specs. Good luck!

Quick and dirt way to determine if this is a software driver issue or something else software wise at the Operating System layer or a hard physical hardware failure. Boot into your BIOS setup and see if the video displays fine there. If so you are likely having issues with your OS or loaded drivers/software.
