OMG they jacked up the price by a 100 dollars or more on the notebooks and they still have the 9600 pro. What's up with that....??????
No they didn't The 16.1 screen actually came down, but they bumped afew things up, like a $10 increase in the 60 GB 7200 rpm harddrive. On the config I want it's only $30 more.

On the suggested set up's, (performance, enthusiast, extreme) they have raised the price $100. WHY?!?!?! The performance was $2,089 just yesterday!!

Yes they did, the lowest model base system yesterday was 2089, now it's 100 dollars more 2189. I've been checking on the notebooks for a month now waiting on the 9700 and it has been 2089 until they bumped it up by a 100 dollars today.

man that suck balls I guess i'll wait till the price drops

it's probably not going to drop, If in fact the new vid cards are going to come out soon. If anything it'll increase.

How did you get free shipping?
Easy! I'm too lazy to update my sig!
You can get it with some games though.

Ok well that still doesn't tell me but anyways I don't mind AW jacking up prices if they have a new video card like a 9700. AW suppose to be cutting edge technology, so why they still got a 9600 while most all other companies have 9700 options plus they just increase they prices for the same configuration. At least give us free shipping.

I'm holding out till they get the 9700. They said that for about a month now that the 9700 is coming out soon, and the 9700 came out early this year, it's just sad.

New Colors too

They also changed the conspiracy blue color on their site. I don't know if it is a new paint or if they just changed pic to more accurately descibe it.

Hehehe. Looks I picked the right time to buy. When I bought mine, the base price was 2,049 minus the 70 instant rebate.
I'm not too lazy... I don't own UT2004 yet so I never got that link.
Anyway, where did you get a 70 dollar rebate ewolff?!?! I've only seen 80! 80's the better deal though

I try the link, it ask you for your email, then saids it will automatically deduct from the shopping cart. I added to cart and still 99 dollars shipping and handling. I live in the continental US.

Am I doing sometihng wrong?

Oh it worked, it just doesn't let you stack with the 80 dollars off code from the magazine which sucks. I save more with 99 dollars off shipping then 80 dollars off from magazine.

The May 2004 Maximum PC has a $90 online rebate on page 36.

Still cheaper for me to use free shipping since it's 99 dollars off.

Be careful - A decrease in prices doesn't always mean you are getting a better deal! I bought my Area 51m when the base price for the Euthusiast was £1,438 exc VAT. Now it is approximately £1,383. However with the same configuration as I chose the total price including shipping and delivery is £20 or so more! In the UK Alienware have increased the prices on the extended warranties!

We're just talking about the price excluding warranty. Still a hundred dollars more for the same old system with the old 9600 vid card. Come on AW, bring out the 9700, your slacking and your repuation is in jeopardy =P, cutting edge latest parts - where are they? Voodoo, Sager, HP, and Dell already has the 9700's.

I want to buy my AW already, but not with a 9600 =(
