Ultraportable with 8800m

Does anyone plan to make such a thing?

Is there even an ultaportable with an 8600m in it.

I love to play games and need something that is really portable.

To the best of my knowledge, you won't find any ultraportable with better than an 8400 or 9300 graphics card. more powerful graphics cards are just not conducive to the heat dissipation and power requirements of ultraportables.

LG 13.3" P300 has got an 8600m but don't think it is ever coming to the U.S.

Check out the Asus F8Sn, it's a 14" notebook with an Nvidia 9500M 512MB. (the 9500M GS is almost identical to the 8600GT) Probably one of your best bets for portability & good gaming ability. You can get this model from Newegg, XoticPC, and a few other places.

Haha thats a funny joke, putting 8800 and portable in the same sentence.
Seriously tho, the 8800 desktop variant puts out 47celsius of heat in desktop which features 3 120mm, 2 80mm, and a 92mm fan. I looked in the dictionary under brick and saw a picture of my computer with the arrow pointing at the 8800.
Delivering the degree of performance that the 8800 does on a mobile scale wouldn't be possible in a ultraportable if not just because the 8800s run so hot. Come back in five years and you might see the 8800 of the day in an ultraportable. Maybe.
Sorry to disappoint.

but the P300 is available in canada.... a short drive away for many americans.

as for the 8800 not being mobile, the 8800 is available in mobile from several manufacturers (dell, alienware, etc), some even in SLI. that said they do not perform on the same level as the desktop counterparts. none of the mobile cards in laptops ever perform on the same level. they still can perform well though, and the mobile world is not that far behind. as for ultraportables with that card.... not a chance, not now, not anytime soon.

the closest you can get in something that could be considered ultraportable is the 8600

Tbh, the best Ultra portable would indeed be the 15.4" laptops, don't waste your money the laptop88s are way over the roof with prices now, plus i think its a rip off, take a look at my sig, i got a laptop for uni use, i use it in university for some mean gaming and it performs well, and my desktop is the one with the 88 and its for home use.
