jeez I didn't know it would have been this difficult... i was able to install the realtek wireless drivers to get online, but i'm having serious problems with the display drivers (i don't even want to think about the issues i'm going to have with audio, etc.) i found the correct drivers from the ati website, so i thought, i'm getting the same error after the install and mandatory restart... http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...ckey/ERROR.jpg

please any insight would be excellente!

p.s. i found an article about the mt3707 here in these forums but nothing yet..

If you go to Gateway's website and download the XP drivers for the MX3702

http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/...05898Rnv.shtml

You will have all the drivers you need to make this system perform well with XP, The MX3702 is the same Notebook before it was released with Vista. Gateway just changed the model number, but they will not give you support with XP installed on it. I'd replace the RAM with 2 Gigs, although for XP you could get by with 1GB but 2GB is always better.....................Good Luck...........Post back and let us know how it go's

god bless you, worked like a charm... a problem i am having now is the decrease in wireless signal range... i don't pick up signal in areas i had in the past...plus, my signal goes off and on quite a few times, quite irratable... wonder if that's another driver issue, or just xp alone can't handle vista's capability when it comes to signal strength.
