xps 1330 with external monitor question

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of buying the new ultrasharp 2408 lcd monitor (24") with 1920x1200 resolution and was going to hook up my xps 1330 to it. Is the xps 1330's video card good enough to drive a monitor with such a high resolution?

Yes, not a problem. You just want to make sure that you are using a digital monitor connection.

The digital connection coming out of the XPS M1330 is an HDMI connector. Be sure to buy an HDMI-to-DVI converter cable like the one below, and you should be all set.

Yep, no problem... just make sure you go with the digital connection (HDMI-to-DVI).

You can technically run it at 1920x1200 over the VGA connection, but the image will look blurry and distorted at a resolution that high. Just stick with digital, and you will be fine.

IIRC I hooked up my D600 (with integrated video card) via VGA to my 24 incher (2405fpw) and it looked fine at that res.

I can try it out tonight if you wish (via vga)

Im running my m1330 to a Dell 20" LCD @ 1680x1050 res over the VGA cable. Works fine, but Id recomend going digital. Get a HDMI monitor if possible.
