Best XPS Gen-2 with i915?

Hi,

So, I was just curious, looking around on eBay, what's the best Gen-2 there is, using an i915?
Of course, I wouldn't upgrade a non dual-core capable computer... but you know ^^.

The motherboard couldn't be replaced, huh?

And can the new XPS' be overclocked? Thanks guys!,

The best you can do is:
2.26 GHz P-M
7800GTX
100 GB 7200 RPM HD
2 GB RAM

Of course you can pinmod and try to get 2.4 GHz P-M or even (very rare) 2.66 GHz P-M

You will not be able to fit any newer model mobo's into the case.

The newer XPS's allow CPU overclocking with certain (expensive) processors. But the run of the mill processors are still locked.

Nah, nobody seems to be even trying to OC these things anymore. I've decided to move on to the M6300 soon and will get a desktop (to do whatever the hell I want) not long after.

Actually while most of that is correct, I am running a 160 gb seagate drive (granted its only a 5400rpm perpendicular...) in mine as I type....so....

Yeah, I figured the HD could be bigger... as long as its not SATA, it can have any size, couldnt it? Doesnt matter tho...

yeah, desktops are funner to OC ^^.

I guess he was talking about 7200 RPM drives. Its common knowledge that the largest drives are 100 GB for 7200 RPM and 250 GB for 5400 RPM (both PATA of course).
