Hello guys.

I have this satellite a75-s226 and I have a little problem. I was changing the power jack and unfortunately when I plugged the power cord, it gave a several sparks because welding was making contact with the metal of the laptop. Now the laptop is turning on ok and charging the battery ok. But the problem is that battery stop working, if I tried to unplug the power cord the laptop goes off and its not turning on just with the battery itself. The battery is fully charged.
I heard that i just need to change a mechanical switch that manages the power to the battery.

Any comments are very helpful.

Thanks!!

hardware could be an issue here, but i would first look into ur computer properties and see if the ACPI option is still on, or turn it off, restart, and turn it back on and see if it can trigger something

cheers ...
