Aspire 5570Z

Running Vista Home premium. The Network and Sharing center locks up. It is connected to the internet but the connection icon show the red X. Hovering over it reveals a "server execution failed" message. Any ideas?

No I hadn't seen that. I did look on the Microsoft Support web sight though. I'll try it now. THanks.

My computer already had that fix installed. But it gave me an idea of where else to look. Under services Network List Service is not started. When I attempt to start it I get Error 1450 Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

In an attempt to fix that I, as a test, turned disabled the virus program and a few other things...still didn't work.

have u searched the net for the above error code/message? seemed that this is a known issue with many work-arounds:

. tried to start the service in safemode?
