heat issues?

I 've been using my XPS in the 3D world extensively for a while. It's always been on a desk, and I've heard the fans come on now and then. Today, when packing up the XPS, I looked at the bottom, and the Windows XP sticker looked like it has a blistered burn through it. Is there a clear window in your stickers? I don't remember it being like this when it first came in, weird.

Wow, sounds wierd. A pic would help, are you sure it wasn't like that when you got it?

I'll have to scrounge up a digital camera at work, as mine is busted. I'll post tomorrow.

BBerman, I think I know what you're talking about. I have that same exact thing on my 9100, but I am almost positive that it came that way from Dell. I think I noticed it the day after I got it, and it has not changed in size or appearance since.

I just got my I9100 one wensday, I never noticed it before but I also have that burnt looking mark it looks like the sticker for windows xp has a hole in it already or a hole was punched out of it when they put the sticker on I highly doubt its a burn unless we are looking at to different things.

I'm on the same boat as all of you.. I got the burnt mark too for my 9100.. However, I noticed it because of this thread..
However, I do not think this is a heat issue.. as heat propagates over time, then the mark would be bigger.. and it has been the same size ever since I noticed (about 1/4 inch diameter)..
