MacBook Pro Temperature

Thread Starter
Well, I can't seem to find any conclusive answers, so maybe someone on this website can provide some insight. I just purchased my MacBook Pro, 15" 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB memory....the Stock 15" model basically. I noticed it was getting a little warm, so i installed the iStat Nano widget and got the following temps.

HD: 37 C (99 F)
CPU: 50-53 C (130 F)
GPU Diode: 59-61 C (142 F)

These are all taken with basic activity (iChat, Safari, and simple things running)

I don't know if these are about right or if I should worry, so can anyone out there shed some light on the idea?

Not so bad. I just did a quick test with that widget monitoring when I run throguh some of my recent activities.

VMWare Fusion with an acoustical analysis program crunching some large numbers.
Google Sketchup (Or Layout) working on a model.
Firefox Beta5pre open browsing the web.

I fogot to add in music playing in the background, or simpsons in h.264 encoding in a mkv container, but even at that my CPU was seeing around 80 and my GPU around 70. So no yours aren't bad for something not stressing the capabilities of your system.
