Asustek has now unveiled the latest addition to its graphics card line-up, the EAH3850 SMART OC/HTDI/1G. The cvasi-cryptic name translates into a Radeon HD 3850 with 1GB of DDR2 memory which has a soft spot for facile overclocking.

Equipped with a 55nm-built RV670 chip and cooled by Asus' patented Glaciator cooling system, the new card features an OC button above the DVI output which enables easy overclocking. The overclocked setting put in by Asus will see the cards' GPU go from 669 MHz up to 796 MHz while the memory will go from 990MHz to 1100MHz. When in high-voltage mode the Radeon HD 3850 is claimed to get a 12% performance boost, and this was measured with 3DMark06 so the gaming result may differ.

Asus has yet to put a price on the card's 'head'.
