1520 (1.4ghz C2D) vs Inspiron 8600 (pentium 2ghz M) - Whats faster?

Hi,

I have an insprion 8600 with a Pentium M 2ghz processor (1gb ram, etc). I was looking at a few of the 1520 or other vostro laptops. I saw a deal earlier today for 399 for a 1.4ghz C2D dell laptop (1gb ram, etc).

So how much faster would the 1.4ghz C2D laptop be vs a Pentium 2ghz M ?

I realize the C2D bus is 800mhz vs the M running at 400mhz (I think).

Is that the big difference? Will it be a big difference?

Thanks,
Rich

You probably won't feel a difference if you are using just one application but once you are multitasking, the dual core will definitely be faster.

You probably won't feel a difference on single applications but once you have more programs running and multitasking, the dual core will definitely perform better.
