Omega Drivers??

Do Omega Drivers Ever cause problems with games? If they do should I just re-install drivers/game and try again?
My experience has been that the Omegas are no worse than the ATI base they're built on, and usually better with the extra tweaks. 3.6s were VERY stable for me, 3.7 and 3.8 crap, others fine. I'm on 4.4s for a few days now, haven't gamed yet. Drivers are VERY uninstalllable, game shouldn't need uninstalled, just patched. Gofrit.

ATI.COM. Get the "standard" 4.4s for your card\chip (ATI 9700 card?). ATI does NOT tweak drivers for mobility chips\\notebooks, because notebook manufacturers take the basic graphics chip and wire them in however they see fit, as opposed to a "truly" separate desktop graphics card component that has been only made and messed with by ATI alone. You will have to either 1. Get a "mobility mod" tool, such as DHMOD from DriverHeaven.Net, which will place your specific card info in the ATI INF files (which is what I've done many times), or 2. Install the ATI's straight on via "add new hardware", per instructions elsewhere. In either case you START the ATI install and QUIT right after it has extracted the file to your HDD. There are MANY threads on the proper procedures here in the Forums, most probably in the Drivers category. You can do it! Good luck!

EDIT: Just noticed your sig only mentions Desktop ATI 9800. If you're installing on that then the ATI should install everything from start to finish, just follow the ATI instructions.
