Will the Sims 2 work on my laptop?

I looked at the hardware requirements and I am all good for memory and processor requirements but the video card requirements confuse me.

As you can see if I have a good enough video card I only need a 800MHZ processor which is great considering mine is 1.83GHZ (its an Intel Core 2 Duo) so it will do fine no problem. But, if my video card is not that great I need 2.0GHZ which then screws me over.

I have an Intel for a video card but I don't know if its the one they list for the 2nd requirements (an Intel Extreme Graphics card). I don't see it listed like that on my system, but i am still unsure if my card can handle it. The card I have is a Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family. I looked on Intel's website and at the manuals to see if it is at the level of an Intel EG or better and they don't really specifically tell that one thing.

I'm hoping one of yall can help me out with this. All I need to know is if my card is what they are talking about in the 1st or 2nd requirements and if the game can run on my machine regardless. If anyone wants to know, I have 61.7 GB of memory as of now on my laptop and like I said before my processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo at 1.83GHZ.

Thank you very much for the help

Your GPU would put you in the 2nd requirements of a 2GHZ processor, but that's in terms of Pentium 4s. Even though Sims 2 only uses 1 core, each individual core of a C2D (depending on which line), performs about 1.8-2.2x the speed of a P4 of the same rated speed. Basically, your processor runs more like a 3.3GHZ P4, which will be fine.

Sims 2 is very memory intensive with big lots. I don't know what amount or speed of memory you have (61.7GB is your disk space - more specifically free disk space) If you're running Vista you're gonna want to have atleast 2GB for Sims 2 (and probably XP also, but you could get away with less).
