Fans not working properly

Hi,

The fans on my notebook (D900t Variant) aren't working properly, they wont get much higher than idle even with Get Thermals User Set on. I have also tried The Fn+ F2 combo, but still nothing works I wonder if anyone knows a fix to this problem.

Cheers Chris

IIRC, GetThermal overrides the settings in your BIOS. So if you try to use FN+F2 while running getthermal, perhaps the key combo woulldn't be acknowledged. You can take the software out of the picture by rebooting and waiting until the BIOS password screen appears (assuming you've set a BIOS password) and then trying Fn+F2.

If that doesn't change anything then go to Sager's support page and download the BIOS flash utility and latest BIOS version and re-flash your BIOS. IIRC, the ability to toggle between BIOS controlled fans and full fans via Fn+F2 was not available in the first BIOS revisions.

If you still have problems after this, then check to see if all of the fans are RPM limited or just one/some of them.
