M1730 TSST Corp Drive Problems

I won an m1730 on ebay recently and its all good except the bluetooth drivers seem to lock up the system on startup so I turn them off.

Otherwise this is a great machine... nice and fast.

One other thing that has been bugging me is that when i put a commercial dvd in the drive to watch it either takes forever to spin up or it just doesnt seem to read it at all skipping and attempting to read over and over.

The drive is a TSST Corp DVD+-RW TSL632H

The current drivers on this unit is a microsoft issued driver
5.1.2535.0

Has anyone else had problems like this and if so how did you solve them?

Thanks

Ok, So a search of dell turned up this firmware updater for the drive at this link.

http://support.us.dell.com/support/d...&fileid=235346

and it works now!

I shouldn't have panicked!

Ok... so if anyone has any hint on the bluetooth drivers... i would appreciate that too.

Cheers

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I had been trying to fix this for some time and never thought to search that much of the drive info. I guess when I did I had always typed it wrong?

Whatever, I found you... and You rock... you fixed it for me!
