4- How many open memory slots are there? I would like to intall 2X2Gb to the initial 2X2 Gb for a total of 4*1Gb of memory.
1. Yes you can duplicate or you can run it on an external monitor. You cannot span the desktops.
2. ask Packer or rEvErSeDaMaGe
3. Not much when you're talking about 100 Mhz. What two CPUs are you comparing?
4. Two memory slots.

Sorry to nitpick but is that two open memory slots or two memory slots total..?
Ps. I'm not Wraith88 with a different account

So can someone plz confirm how many TOTAL memory slots there are and how many they use up per configuration.
So assuming that the laptop only has 2 dimm memory slots, and that i plan on purchasing more memory at a later how should i order it. I'm also assuming that if i order 2Gb or Ram it will be configured as 2X1Gb right?

Dude, how many different ways to you want me to say there are only 2 Total Dimm slots?

go to the alienware configuration page and it CLEARLY SAYS:

1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 512MB
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 1024MB
4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 2048MB

Hey Steve, what's the longest time you've gamed on this m15x? Any downclocking issues?

I didn't have any no. I played UT3 for a good 20-30 minutes.

I'm glad to hear that. I'm starting to get cold feet thinking about my m15x.

We added two more benchmarks to our database so I attached the Company of Heroes and World in Conflict stress tests. On highest graphics with no AA.

So how much longer are you keeping the m15x until you have to return it?

I think you misunderstood my post. We added these benchmarks to NBF database.
