hey guys, just wanted to share a really cool app that I found.

Back in the days of 10.4 Tiger apple included bluetooth connection from the address book to a cell phone and you were able to call anyone in your contact list from your computer while it used your cellphone line. more useful was the feature that allowed you to send text messages from your computer to your contacts through your cellphone line.

Why is that so cool you ask?
well, when the recipients got the message it would look as if it came from your cell phone instead of through the internet, also if they sent a text to your cellphone it would show up on your mac screen and you could have chosen to reply straight from your mac...

Anyways, leopard does not have this feature. apple chose to discontinue it.

however this app here. http://mirasoftware.com/BPE2/
does all that and more. you can dial from your cell phone through your mac and even talk using the built in mic. It's especially useful if you are in class and you can't use your cellphone (for the text messaging feature)

the app is free to try
