If memory serves there are a few of us in that area, sorry for the short notice on this as I just found out. Richard Stallman is apparently giving a speech tomorrow (3/27/2008) at VCU, with additional speeches I believe at UofR and UVA.
At least according to the craigslist add GNU apparently put out, it is a free event, sadly I will be working. While I don't agree with everything Stallman does, specifically I tend to not agree to the extent he carries his ideals, but the ideals themselves I agree with, I tend to be more along the same line of thought on the topic as Linus from what i have read form the two of them.
