Sell my M1710 or not?

Hi,

Since this week my M1710 has it 3 motherboard!(just bought a new harddisk for it ) Because it's my only computer I just ordered an M1530

Specs I ordered:

T8100 : 2,1 Ghz
3 GB (will be upgraded to 4 gb from my M1710)
320 gb @ 5400 rpm
15,4-inch UltraSharp™ WSXGA+ (1.680 x 1.050)
6 cell battery
bleutooth
1 y collect and return
8600 GT 256 mb

Will this system preform better than my M1710? What would you do? Sell the M1710 or just keep the 2 systems

Thx

The 7900GS will outperform the 8600GT. Really, that's the only positive your M1710 has on the M1530.

8600GT < 6800U < 7800GTX < 7900GS (this is assuming all of these cards are OC'd)

haven't there been a bunch of 7950's going by on ebay recently? (or was my recently like 295 million years ago? I can't keep track of time any more...)

I'm pro different sized laptops--I have a 15" macbook pro that I use as my main portable system; a Dell D420 for when I need to travel light, and my m1710 just kind of sticks around wherever I put it and doesn't move much, but it is really handy having a nice fast gaming machine whenever I want one!

I have a love affair with my 1710, so i say keep it for gaming!

Unless of course you build yourself a desktop for 1200 or so like the one in my sig. Then sell that puppy and build a desktop!
