They just screwed up my system even more, left out all but 3 screws on the bottom, and NOTHING was replaced also they left at the ribbon cable to hook up my HDD's. I borrowed a friends and hook it up, same problem system is useless stuck at 1.6ghz and 100 CPU usage all the time. After 2 hours of talking with them they agreed to replace the system once again, so hears to getting a replacement that actually works, but I have very little hope, lol.

On the plus side they sent an extra battery.

what is up with dell lately seem thier service has hit a new low
post #3 of 15
you always hear from the people with problems... they seem to be more vocal... i think the depot usually does a good job, but there will always be a few that they mess up

So.. someone else ended up w/o a battery lol.

And a extra HD riboon.

these kind of mistakes are insane

They could not have done any proper post repair testing with those parts not installed
post #6 of 15
And people thought it was outrageous that I got a system as a replacement that died within 5 days and was so cosmetically screwed up, shipped directly from Dell Returns... I rest my case.

lets put it this way... it took 3 depot machines and 1 repair to get my system even near (certified refurbished)...

My last replacement arrived with a F#^$#@ HOLE in it... Yes a HOLE.

new systems on order everythings equal to my last system which is good, they didnt include my 8800GTX in the system but the tech said that would prob happen and to just swap them myself which I dont have a problem doing seeing how I put it in the first place.

Well I take that back processor is a t9500 so i got a penryn now, but how i wish i had at X series, oh well.

TJ1285,

I read your post about the issues you experienced with your computer repair. You seem content with the new system stats but you stated that you may have to swap parts. If you need any other assistance you can send your computer directly to me to address and correct the issue for you.

Fenuxx,

I am going to extend the same offer to you as well. You can send the 1730 into me and I will personally review the computer. You may also send back anything else that needs to be returned. I will make sure that it is inventoried right away. My direct shipping address will be sent to you in private message.

Best regards,
