I just see a posting rules thing on the lower left that says i may not post attachments...no biggie if it's a post-count thing...that is an anti-spam function in a lot of cases that I do indeed understand!

She's here! Oh baby this is one big rig! Remember, folks, I've been a lappy user basically forever, so the enormity of an AW desktop doesn't hit you until you actually SEE it in front of you!!!

They've agreed to refund my $, re-credit my credit card.

It will not produce a video signal...could be the vid card, but could be the motherboard...we did two hours of trouble shooting, taking out the 9800, putting it back in, re-setting the memory sticks, the plugs to the hard drive, disc drive, you name it....just not working...it powers up, but the probably cause is video card OR mother board...either way, no disrespect, but after four years, i just can't do this anymore with them....i give virgil at AW a TON of credit for quickly agreeing that just giving me my money back is an option....

so now, what kind of desktop do i get? I mean, i don't need a SUPREME one since my 9262 pwns....but i'd like it to not be a piece of crap either....argh...

very sad....

Yeah - that's why I picked it (my avatar). While I usually dig troubleshooting DT problems (call me a sadist), it can make you crazy....esp in situations like yours.

I think what our Steve (Duke) is talking about is getting an AW rep he knows involved. A bit higher up the food chain than your traditional AW tech support folks.

I'm terribly sorry you have received a DOA system, I know how much it sucks to have to troubleshoot something you just paid for. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do right now as according to your notes you are receiving a full refund for the system. I wish you luck with your next system and hope you get something that won't let you down.

AW Steve, thanks for checking in. Virgil, my cricitical issues rep, has been fantastic. But yes, I'm done with it...four years of this and I'm just too tired....actually pondering building my own system now...

NBF Steve...yeah, this has been a real nightmare from start to finish...i'm just really exhausted from it...too much time spent on the phone w/ tech support or customer service, too much time spent w/ no AW system to use...thank god i've got my 9262, which is superb BTW...really thinking of building...
