If thats $1500 for the whole system i think thats a good buy, im from the UK and that equals to around £750 which isnt bad for a system like that. Is this new or second hand?

Outlet

Still if it comes with warranty it sounds like a good buy, but you may get scratches on the lcd lid or something unless stated.

I think thats a good deal still, within the next 2 years if anything goes wrong and they cannot fix it you could end up with a m1730 like alot of others. Complete care is the way to go with top of the line laptop.

Lol - well the extra memory shipped, as well as the bt module...

Now when does dell usually ship the laptop itself from outlet? Do they ship on weekends as well?

Hehe - I am so antsy...

Have you not received a shipping date? Mine took 4 days to arrive and that was new and not from the outlet, The outlet in the uk is alot smaller than the US i expect.

They have a expected shipping date of 4/2 (which didn't show up until now). As I said before, the other stuff that I ordered already shipped :P So I was hoping that would too.

M1710 question/debate

I should be getting my m1710 soon from outlet. So here is my debate... should I format it to XP or leave it at Vista...? How is the game/graphic driver support with vista (I used vista before, but for business only)?

Best driver for the 7950GTX?

I am about to receive my m1710 soon (hopefully). I was just wondering, what is the best driver to use with this model? I have the stock ones (v.94.22), and I saw another post (which I can't find) when I upgraded my 7800 GTX drivers.
174.31, either in MobileForce flavor or from LaptopVideo2Go.
I still prefer XP, but thats my opinion
It seems to be about 50/50 on the Vista matter, some think vista is better and some think XP is still better. I would say try out Vista and see if you like it first
post #17 of 117
Agreed^^^

hey tony, how goes it with your Rig, make any headway?
You could just setup a dual boot. I use plenty of different OS'es, each with their own benefits.

Hmm - good idea... that is the way I setup some of our training rooms at my job. I have a 160gb HD, might as well use it - 80 for XP and 80 for Vista. Either way, I have to reformat, but who cares...hehe

Thanks all!
