I would think so as those are considered "rare" for the moment & definitely cost a bomb!

I always use the chat, so it doesnt make much of a difference to me, but XPS chat closes at midnight, which kinda sucks. Dunno about regular support, but I think they open 24/7.

I like chat because I can always pull up my previous chat if they try to bust out the he said she said but huh? type thing

IMO, "kuhmaralandadontknowhowtosaythisname" aint so bad when hes typing :P

Should I part out the 9300 and sell the 7800GTX by itself? That will leave the 9300 with a x300 video card.

You can try ebay

That would be really great. I'd certainly like to use the newer drivers if that could be sorted out

There use to be a huge difference, but sadly I think both the xps and normal tech support are now based in india. I remember a year ago speaking to xps tech support was speaking to someone in the USA, but now everyones just seems to be indian.

As to the OP.
I have used some of the Kensington USB lights from time to time, and they are fine but nowadays I feel like the screen itself illuminates the keyboard.

I agree with Nonya.

Perhaps you can cut down on all of these threads you're starting... I count 9 on the first page alone... Time to ease off the "New Thread" button a bit.

i've had an xps for about 5 years and have never spoken to someone in india.. xps support is worth the purchase.

Me Too soggy sawdust demon! And i agree the older stock drivers run super cool. I use mine for work all day and all night long and do NOT need for it to overheat on me and shorten its life. I love this machine way too much.

But if better drivers came along that stayed this same temp....

Gateway has kept their CS in the US. I think I may go with a gateway next time just for that lol. And the techs are pretty smart too, they solve 90% of my problems.

i have a business and I got 2 xps 1730 replacements within 2.5 weeks.

The i1501 I got for a client and came looking like someone blew their bloody nose on the screen, etc... not to mention the kb.... geeeesh...

That took 2 months for an exchange to be sent. Even after yelling at many many indians...

Well, I just did my test with these drivers and received 5298 in 06. What does everyone think?
This is the way it always goes when you ask for advice with drivers, EVERYONE will say the one they use. When it comes to drivers there is never one best driver, there are so many that you have to pick the one that works best for the games that you play. This is especially true when you are working with notebooks as their hardware is so finicky.
