I bought an Alienware Area-51 m9750 about two months ago, and it has been working like a charm. Until today.
What happened was that I booted the laptop up this morning to pay some bills etc before heading to work, and before I left I put the pc in hibernation-mode (as I always do when I leave home for a few hours). When I came home this afternoon to turn it back on, the laptop was stone cold dead. The blue led light isn't even blinking to indicate that the power is plugged in.
My first guess would be that the battery has gone flat or something, because I've only let in run dry once in these two months (about two weeks ago), I keep the power cord plugged in at all times basically. I have a notebook cooler from Zalman that I run at the highest capacity, so it would surprise me if the laptop died from overheating. I guess I should also say that in these two months that I've owned my precious Alienware, I've never once taken it outside of my home - so it can't be lose parts inside from traveling.
So, assuming that it would be a flat battery that doesn't respond - how can it be brought back to the living world?
I browsed around the forum, but I wasn't able to find any topic that related specifically to my issue, nor can I find any solutions to this by googeling - so if anyone got any clue on what to do it would be greatly appreciated, because I'm at my wits end.
Thanks in advance.
