Is the M1730 battery and charger the same as the M1710?

I am pretty sure I read that the battery's were not the same but I figured I would ask anyway.

Dells replacing my M1710 with a M1730 and if they are not the same I may have a problem. I have something like 4 power bricks and 6 battery's for my M1710 so that would suck.

If they are not the same, what do you think the odds are of me talking Dell into replacing my M1710 battery's with M1730's?

no they are not the same different design for the battery and the power brick to run the 1730 is a 230w

Why would they replace all your batteries? If you want to keep your batteries just tell them to give you a refurbished M1710 since they are no longer in production and sacrifice the M1730.
