Best drivers for 8700M GT SLI on Gears?

I have been through hell and back with drivers!

I have:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 + All Nvidia Hotfixes
Intel T7800 @ 2.6Ghz / 4Mb L2 Cache / 800Mhz FSB
Nvidia 8700M GT SLI 256Mb / 625Mhz Core / 800Mhz Memory / 1250Mhz Shader / 128Bit Bus (Each)
2Gb 677Mhz Dual Channel

And have not yet been able to run Gears at a solid 30FPS at LOWEST settings!

At the lowest settings: I get stuttering (8FPS) when I move around.
At the Highest settings: Crashing and stuttering!

Every other game plays amazing Maxed at 1920x1200. Like UT3 I can get that , plus 16XAF and 2XAA and get 28+FPS (Never below 28FPS)

And my 3dmark06 scores aint to great either Only 8250 (I think I should get higher but might not. People with the 2.2GHz gets the same.)

Please HELP!!!!!

Hmm.. Have you installed the "1.2" Title Update? I was getting strange stuttering/crashes before I installed that, but once I did, it was fixed.

Also, what driver revs have you tried?

No effect...... The best drivers I tried so far was the Nvidia Betas. But there from 2006 The one I got now is the newest from lV2Go and they crash. So does the newest MF drivers! And the MP subway get's 8FPS max. It's pissing me off.

Sounds like your Gears installation got borked somehow. Or, in a bad-case scenario, could be sitting on a corrupted part of your HD. Either way, I'd try uninstalling the game completely (maybe backing up your saved games), running CrapCleaner (in both cleaning mode AND registry cleaner mode), and then reinstalling it.
