GeForce 9900 Series Cards Expected in Q3

Since almost nothing can be as unimpressive as the G92 GeForce 9800 cards, the next-generation GPUs and cards prepared by Nvidia are already sparking a lot interest especially as this time, consumers should get at least a significant evolutionary step forward.

Apparently dubbed GT200, Nvidia's next high-end chip is now rumored to be arriving in Q3, probably as soon as July in the form of several cards (9900 GTX, GT and even GX2). Set to be branded GeForce 9900 series, the upcoming cards should wash away the reasonably bad taste of the 9800 GX2 and 9800 GTX though, for now it's unclear what features they will include. But we have enough time to find them out.

I'm in the same boat...

I can't see getting a 9800 when newegg has eVGA 8800gtx's for $289 after mail in rebate, and the next gen stuff is right around the corner...

Why does this seem like not such a smart move for Nvidia? Are they not wanting to put the 98xx series cards? Just using up left over 8800 chips in on board sli setups or what?

9900 already? Wow.

well I guess I will hold off upgrading lol

Still have to decide if I am going Intel Quad or AMD Quad.
