Hi I am thinking of buying a Dell 1530 or 1330 for a friend in Japan. I will buy it from the Dell in UK and take it over when I visit. But I am worried about the small electric shocks that have been reported from these laptops.

If I bought it in the UK and used a power adapter with a converter over in Japan will that work okay? Is there anything I should be aware of before I go ahead and buy it? I was told that Dell issue 3 pronged plugs for free if you request them (will I get a 2 prong power supply otherwise?) but will that work in Japan and will I need to get a separate Japanese powersupply with 3 prongs?

Sorry I am just a bit confused about all this and really want to make sure that the laptop will definitely not shock the person I am buying it for.
