I was gonna buy the np5793, but someone is offering me m1730 for $1400
tough choice, need you guys opinion
so here is the spec:
M1730 ($1400 used) - T7500 2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 120GB@7200rpm, SLI 8700m GT, 17" WUXGA, DVD-RW DL and blah blah blah
NP5793 ($2167 brand new) - 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM, 160GB@5400rpm, single 8800m GTX, 17" WSXGA, DVD-RW DL and so on.
now the np5793 seems better on every area, but the m1730 is so much cheaper and has 820 days warranty left. I really can't decide, please help.

do you need the warranty? or do you take care of your stuff?

sager obviously has a warranty, and you can upgrade the warranty via the website you buy the sager from

downgrade the ram, and buy the complete care warranty from the company that sells the sager

im sure that website sells ram for 2x's the ammount bought from newegg or zzf

or get that (which is better than the dell you posted for same price) and buy an upgraded warranty via dell

i don't think i can extend the warranty since it's already expired. plus it will cost few hundred bucks. I was able to cut the price down to $1400

The Dell looks lke a fantastic deal, especially if the warranty is transferable.

Buy the Sager and refer the Dell owner to me

I would take the 8800 in the Sager over the Dell, but that is just me. Also, a lot can be said for having a new one of your very own versus a hand me down. Personally the decision is easy...

If you are going to play games, ditch the Dell, you are only going to wish you had the Sager when that 8700SLI cant play everything you want it to and has burned a hole in your leg...

If you arent going to play games, ditch them both and get something cheaper...

So really the Dell isnt an option in any case now is it....

the dell dude...the dell!

really, they are easier to service and part out and get worked on, if you get stuck...

i have come full circle from mainstram to custums back to mainstream brands
