Is Anyone Else Obsessed with the M1730's Light Up Keyboard??

I am starting to like the my new M1730. My favorite feature about this laptop is the light up keyboard. I never thought it would be that nice to have a light up keyboard but here I am in the dark while I am on my 360 typing away and I am actually able to see the keyboard without having to aim the screen at it

What do you all think?

Whoops! I didn't see he actually owned one yet, I thought he was saying he was looking at the M1730 because he was attracted to the lit keyboard

the saitek doesnt even compare to the M1730. I have both and the keyboard on the M1730 is WAY better. I have the original blue saitek btw and the keys arent even as bright as they are on the M1730. It is so hard to see the keys on the saitek at night, its more for looks then practicality whereas the M1730 is both. I just wish we could change the colors on the keyboard and wing like we can with the touch pad and speakers.

i have the saitek eclipse as well (blue), as much as i love that keyboard, the white lit keys on the m1730 are so much better...

but i still use the blue on the desktop so w/e

Yup,definitely, the backlit keyboard is one of my favourite things about it,pity more notebooks apart from a couple of others don't have them yet.

I've got a Saitek Eclipse II, and I love the keyboard. It has the ability to change colors from Blue-->Red-->Purple, and it's dimmable.

The only downside is that I can't crank up the light on the keyboard when using my Belkin KVM switch (USB) because it draws too much power from the USB port. This isn't a huge deal because it's still bright enough in the dark.
