Order Process
Ok so heres what happened with me,I bought the laptop with the dell financial service in late february ,however there was a problem verifying information which delayed my order until around the second week in march, however my alienware was in phase 3 for about 2 weeks then it hit phase 4 for about 3 days then in 1 day from phase 5 to shipped so i am very satisfied although i wish the order status online could be more updated.Anyways my m15 was shipped March 28th and i got it April 1st.

Chassis
This case is stunning to say the least, when it came my wife called me and said she had never seen any laptop like it.NO scratches at all and no crack by the ethernet port.

Keyboard
So far one of the best laptop keyboards i have used, with every new keyboard it takes getting used to but this one i got hooked on immediately.I did notice the flex in the bottom right corner but you guys need to stop being cry babies, its not that bad at all..

Mouse
Ok at first i said man this mouse is gonna be a little difficult but after putting on the sticker it came with for better traction its much better. The way the touchpad doesn't sink in like other lappies is very unique and very SEXY.

Screen
Typical 1440 screen,no dead pixels very crisp,i use it on 3 bars out of 7.I only wish i went for the higher resolution display for the real estate but i like the glossy screens for some reason =/

Optical Drive
Pretty neat although slot loaded woulda been nicer but i got no complaints. At first i thought there would have been a delay when hitting the fn+f8 keys but there are not at all and if that don't work theres always the emergency eject button =).

Gaming
I have only tried 2 games so far Crysis and Call of Duty 4,ON full settings i get 20fps stable in crysis, and i havent tested COD4 as yet but i am sure its pretty up there,id say 50s at least, whoops my desktops ass(prolly cuz im using the 7950 gt EE)

ALIEN FX
I love this feature,i play with this thing all day,i cant decide which one i like best but then again i dont have 2 =).

Heat and Noise
With power like this you must expect heat, but there is not that much at all i use it on my lap the majority of the time and its no prob, but dont game on your lap,and the fans are pretty quiet until u start fragging hardcore =D then the fan gets HELLA LOUD i mean u will say wow thats loud when the fan kicks in

Webcam
Have not played with it much but my wife's hp laptops 1.3 mp cam looks way better, this one is kind of blurry and not as crisp, have no idea why.

In conclusion this is the best laptop i have ever owned and i have no regrets although i wish my smart bay battery would have came the same time but its coming.I am not that much of a benchmarking person but i ran 3dmark06.I only got 5848,anyone care to explain why?

DUDE !! Amazing pics and nice little review over there..
I'd say your 3dMark score could be low cuz of ur laptop being on Stealth Mode...? Look for a blue rectangle in your System tray next to your clock..
Other than that.. Just super man

Very nice pic's by the way! It's definitely worth 50 bucks for the keyboard lighting.

I have the same HP Pavilion zd8000 that you have! The m15x is pretty thick it's almost the same size as the HP. A lot thicker than my m5550.

It's 1.6 inches think. That's thick?

anyone got any idea of y my 3dmark score is so low? is it because im using the trial version?and i doubt its on stealth mode.
Yes, I'm used to the thinner m5550. But, it doesn't matter for the power the m15x packs. when is your review coming Steve?

im sorry i wasnt that professional with the review i jus figured people would much rather pics, when i figure out why my benchmark score is so low i will make videos of crysis and call of duty 4 etc but i really wanna know wats going on

Yeh your 3dmark score is way too low... Make sure you're not on your integrated video card...

remember, the m15x has stealth mode (which underclocks your GPU and CPU) and it also has a switch that will take you off the 8800M GTX and put you on a GMAX3100... You can get into this mode by pressing the function key and F7

one of those options im guessing is enabled

I'm doing a LOT of testing on it... There's so much to do. I'm finishing WRITING it, but it should be up by either Fri or Sat night. (or maybe tonight If I get lucky)

What resolution are you running 3dmark06? Try running it at 1280X800 or 1280X1024. I think Alienware runs it at 1280x800 though.

Hey spartan sorry i havent got that comparison pic yet. My camera isnt doin to well. Ill try to get it asap.
Don't worry. It's not important.

will be getting up some videos of games later this weekend

20fps on crysis with high settings at 1440x900 seems kind of low. I'm in agreement you might be on the integrated, or something is wrong.

I mean, i get that with a 7000 series card on my old desktop with an old p4.
