Time issue when running in Windows

I have XP SP2 installed on my MBP. Whenever I boot into windows, the time (bottom right) is always an hour behind. I don't understand it, no matter how many times I seem to correct the time, change the settings not to sync or to sync, it always boots being an hour behind.

Have you done the latest windows updates? There is a DST hotfix for windows to properly use the correct time the time change.

Yeah, I believe it is, it isn't suggesting to update anything. I will look for that DST hotfix, but as i said I turned that off, rebooted and it was still wrong.

I just booted in and it said like 11:30AM when for me it was really 4:30PM

Hmm, I just booted back into OS X, and it showed 8:30 PM when it was actually 1:30 AM. When I went to check/change the time settings, it changed to the correct time.

If you could provide a link for that windows thing, I would greatly appreciate it

I think the problem stems from the fact that Windows and OSX are using the same hardware clock, and resetting it in different ways for their approriate times. Likely one is setting it to the local time, while the other is setting it to the GMT and doing their calculation for the local time based off that.

Why not set windows to sync its time w/ a server? Avoid hardware conflicts and whatnot.

Windows should automatically do it.

Check the time and date settings and there should be an option for it.
