WinXP Pro SP2 on Vostro 1500 trouble - Network card drivers?

So I finally got my Vostro 1500, installed WinXP Pro with SP2 (after getting through the AHCI problem), got most of the drivers installed, bu then..!
I still have 2 "Unknown Devices" - a Network Controller and a PCI Device. And I also can't connect to my home WiFi network (or any other WiFi network).
I installed all the checked network drivers from my Resource CD, and I still can't get over it. Does anyone have a clue to what am I missing or doing wrong?

Did your resource cd have the correct OS drivers?...did you try the latest ones from dell support incl chipset ones?

In my experience running the resource cd misses half the installed hardware,when it comes to whats ticked in the checkbox.
