LightScribe disc Labelling in HP dv2700

Hi All,

I bought a HP dv2700t special edition series. It came with Lightscribe technology
for disc labelling. I have a question on it.

In the instruction to use Lightscribe it is given as goto

ALL PROGRAMS --> ROXIO --> but in all pgms i did not find roxio burner
I did a search and checked in control panel. I was not able to find it.

I am able to burn dvds, no issues in that but not sure about how to use this disc labelling.

Has anyone used it before ? can you please help me on this ?

Where is the dvd burner software in dv2700? how to do disc labelling using lighscribe ?

What are you burning disks with?

For lightscribe to work you need to have special lightscribe software (service) installed. Major CD/DVD burning software supports lightscribe (I used Cover Designer in Nero, for example). But Windows builtin burning software does not support lightscribe out-of-box. There are standalone CD/DVD label maker programs that support lightscribe.

But, truth to be told, lightscribe is not worth it: designing good looking label is hard (it's shades of gray, not color image), burning label is extremely slow, the result does not look attractive at all, you need special media, which has lower availability and generally higher price. Unless you absolutely have to use lightscribe, forget about it.
