ATi's current flagship GPU-known listens to the name Radeon 3870 HD X2. These are but not a single GPU, instead working two RV670-computing cores in Crossfire mode on an appropriate graphics card.

Although ATi already has said several times that in the future a mobile version for notebooks from the RV670 GPU will give this up at this time is not really available. he code name of a GPU Mobility Radeon 3870 HD is "M88". It is probably identical to the RV670 for the desktop segment, but there are other improvements especially in the power consumption. To even under load for a notebook to keep the bridle, we can also well imagine that ATi the M88 with less execution units, and lower clock rates than the RV670 to let go - the GeForce-8800M series from Nvidia.

Here's the XtremeSystems Forums with the Mobility HD 3xxx lineup, from the Mobility HD 3400 to the Mobility HD 3870X2:

Please keep in mind the pictures are of the engineering samples, with the modules mounted on a temporary PCB for testing. No info on release time, thermal envelope, power draw, etc....

Looks good to me,it looks like it could be an MXM board mounted on a desktop mobo for testing, would be interesting to see how that performs. I always used to have ATI cards until i got my 9400.
