Hi I have an Acer Aspire 9304 and am looking to buy a spare charger/adapter. The retailer I bought it from informs me that Acer are very particular that you use EXACTLY the right charger or something BAD might happen to your laptop! Is this just an excuse to get you to pay over the odds for a genuine Acer charger? I want a spare to leave in my studio so I don't have to keep unplugging and carrying the one that came with the laptop, but I have seen a lot on , for example, eBay, at a much more reasonable price than an Acer recommended charger would cost! Can anybody advise me as to how crucial this really is?
