I have A Sager 3880 series laptop. Last night I used it (watched Alias on Itunes), looked on the internet, got mad at the internet, closed the laptop. In the morning the display didn't work properly. It will boot all the way up. What I have now is a very dark display. At the correct angle I can just make out the desktop (barely). Tried plugging in an external monitor. It works for part of the bootup (the external monitor), but then says no signal at the same place. Occasionaly the laptop (without the external monitor) will show some full color, but will then revert back to a dark screen. The full color will only last seconds to a few minutes. Like one or two. I should mention I am stuck in Afghanistan currently, hence the internet sucking, but some internet is better than no internet. How can i fix this problem. Is the video card bad? Is it the inverter? Is it a virus? (I do have virus protection software). I have sound and can navigate around my desktop- its just almost impossible because the screen is so dark. I tried the system restore and that did not work either. Thanks for you help.
