Can ppl in here please confirm this, since it doesn't really make much sense:

X205-SLI2 - Has 1440×900 native resolution
X205-SLI4 - Has 1680×1050 native resolution
X205-SLI5 - Has 1440×900 native resolution
X205-SLI6 - Has 1440×900 native resolution

Looks to me like Toshiba has downgraded their WXGA+ 17″ display on their newest gaming laptops (SLI 5 and 6). Why??

Was it a mistake or does the SLI4 really have a native 1680×1050 display?

Also, I know that the 1440x900 supports native 720p, but does a 1680×1050 support 1080p, or not?

thats the most likely cause. like any company they worry about benchmarks. there is only so much hardware out there and SLI with that hardware will only realistically yield so much in terms of results. The end result is that in order to get that little bit of an edge they are likely cutting the res to boost the benches.

Better benchmarks? I would have assumed it would have been better to read on screen text or it would be cheaper, there for more competive.

Could you not just use an external screen with a higher resolution connected through HDMI or DVI if it is a problem.
