pixelated display issue

Thread Starter
AW area51m laptop was shut down as normal (all seemed normal and well) overnite the AC remained plugged in and moderate weather storm passed thru. Upon next boot up the display was/is pixelated as if looking thru a screen door. this area51 was purchased in '04 (XP Pro) it is now out of warranty
[DUH, as if customer service would be of any value]
the computer seems to work fine with exception to the LCD being pixelated
I tried several things including 'system restore' and all supplied AW cd's (master, utilities....etc) all to no avail.
I tried to open the case and it is not cooperating....suggestions would be appreciated.

you can go to alienware.com under their support page and go to drivers download and find your graphics drivers there...i dont know if they will be the same ones you have but it would give you an idea if thats the problem...

AW.com you suggest?
I've been there, done that...
searched all options to no avail....
I assume have you never used AW support. as yet with your new system
my experience has been less than satisfactory with customer service and 'their knowledge base'...
maybe I am searching incorrect.......
Do you have a specific link the problem I am currently encountering?
