1440x900 or 1400x1050 13.3"-14.1" new laptop

I need a new laptop that should have a screen of 13.3"-14.1". The resolution I truly want is 1400x1050 but will be accept 1440x900 too since it seems, that no new computers (santarosa etc) have a screen of 1400x1050.

These laptops I know to fulfil the criteria I gave above:
- Dell Latitude D630, 14.1", 1440x900
- Thinkpad T61, 14.1", 1440x900
- Thinkpad x300, 13.3", 1440x900

One thing that disappoints me is the lack of hdmi/dvi output in all of these notebooks, but I could live with it. Otherwise it seems that T61 is my choice currently, but I'm a bit concerned about batter life and the price that is thinkpadish high for a good setup. Dell could be ok but seems a bit heavy and oldish (it has a serial port but not dvi/hdmi?). x300 is a bit smaller than I'd require and it costs a lot...

Should I wait for some new models to pop out? Any other computers to choose from?

Is having an HDMI output high in your priority?

T61's battery life with a 6-cell and an extra 3-cell in ultra bay should last 7hrs+. Mind you the D630's 9cell sticks out at the front, but none the less its a excellent notebook. If you want a ThinkPad, now is the time to buy...never seen Thinkpad at such prices before...

Yeah it really seems Thinkpad is gonna be my choice. Still I think that 14.1" T61 (especially w two batteries) is a bit too heavy... I'd so much wanna buy x300 but why the hell can they not sell it with a standard HDD? Seems I'd be paying hundres of dollars extra for ~nothing.

HDMI would be great but it's not a must. I think I'll have to survive without one.
