Turn on wireless capability...HELP!

Hi, I am a newbie to this site. Can someone please help me regarding my
Dell Inspiron 1526? I bought it from Best Buy for my niece and now the
wireless has a problem. It says turn on wireless capability. I've tried fn+f2
and the switch on the side. Nothings seems to work. I've even reloaded
everything from scratch. Called Dell, they said I have to talk to Best Buy...
called Best Buy and they said I have to find the receipt before they will even talk to me. I don't have time or any patience left for them and there run-around.

Someone help me before I start throwing it again the wall!

checked the bios? might have something like RF option in there

Sounds like the Wi-Fi Card has been disabled in BIOS. I know my D820 has an option to alltogether disable the wireless options from the BIOS so that not even the switch will operate them.

I hate to say it though, you made a big mistake buying a Dell from Best Buy, always ALWAYS buy direct.
