i sux0r at guides but have no problem sharing knowledge.

enjoy.

I have been working with this notebook alot.

I have sucessfully found the best bios combo for overclocking the GPU and CPU.

the CPU Overclocking is multiplier locked so what you have to do is what's called a pin mod.

these new CPU's have different pins than the good o'le days so it makes it easier.

My mod I did with simple Black electrical TAPE!

yes that's right TAPE.

Here is what you do.

Remove your q6600 CPU from the socket.

take the 8 screws from the d901c/9262 and remove cover

then remove fan that houses RAM *over the ram.

3 screws.

then remove 4 screws in order of 1-4 and remove the heat sync. there is a plastic handle to pull it out.

then remove CPU and take a piece of black tape and put it on a smooth board.

then using an exacto blade (box cutter) ---Al-Keida!!!

cut a small square/rectangle chunk out.

it may take you a few tries.

then put it over the Bsell *pin* like so.

after put back in socket. put on as5 or other lube... and way you go.

Make sure to keep Fans on MAX fn +1

My temps are as follows

idle 38 degrees always max fans.

max with crysis is 55 degrees.

and absolute max with TAT is 67 degrees

use Coretemp for best true temps

and your good to go.

I will post an howto for the GPU that shows how to mod the bios voltage table and get every last ounce of juice/power out of the 8800m

and unlock the shader clock past 1350..

no.

you allready have 1333mhz fsb and 3.0ghz

it's meant for the q6600 only.

this mod makes your processor better than almost every one on the market for quads and even better than the q9550 in terms of computing power.

it matches the qx6800 @stock

i know this is an older thread, but on a Sager 9262 Fn + F1 toggles the touchpad. 64 bit vista wont run getThermal. Is there a way to control the fans in 64 bit vista on a 9262?

try all the Fn + F keys, i think on my sager it was F2

Would this mod work with a Intel Dp35DP motherboard and the Q6600 CPU ? Will this CPU automatically jump to 3.0 GHZ without changing memory etc ?

How can you keep your idel temp that low?
Im haven't even clocked mine, and it's running at 46 degrees idel and 72 maxed.

I just performed this mod to my 9261 q6600. Windows 7 shows q6600 at 3.00 GHz.
Core temp (Win 7 x64) shows 38C idle with max fans. Automatic fans shows idle at 50-52C. Fans kick on low at 60C and pull things back down to 50-52C.

Sweet mod. It feels perkier.
