Size does matter...

"One of the problems with the 360, and it affects games like Grand Theft Auto if you think about how much content we put in the actual machine, is the fact that they don't have a significantly larger storage medium than the previous systems. It's a slightly bigger DVD disc," Houser told 1up.

Then take into account that not all Xbox 360s come with a hard drive. It's here that things get super sticky. "The 360 is going to have to get 'round this issue we're talking about...hopefully, they're going to adopt one of those in the next year or so, because it's going to become more of an issue. If we're filling up the disc right now, where are we going? It's not like our games are going to get any smaller."

any have posed a big question that's on my mind, for sure: Does either version look better than the other? "There's a slight difference in the way they look," Houser admitted. "I think that's to do with really low-level technical stuff that I'm not the guy to explain. The 360 games have a certain look to them; PS3 games have a certain look to them. I like the way [the PS3] renders." He concluded, "There's a certain kind of softness without being blurry -- some warmth to it -- and then there's a certain more clinical element to how the 360 looks."

Microsoft needs to adopt a blu-ray drive FAST for GTA5

Hell Duke I will try to find the link but MG4 had to have stuff cut out because it was to big for BLUERAY!!

Far be it from me to disagree haha, but doesnt the 360 have the contract for exclusive extra content? Additionally, industry numbers have shown a 2:1 pre-order edge to 360. Seems to me like MS is doing just fine.

That said I still think MS is angling toward pure digital distribution. Id personally welcome bluray on 360 on one hand, but if they add an external drive like hd-dvd it will be gimped too, if they put it inside they will have to redesign hardware as it iis currently incapable of supporting all blurays features- which Im not so happy with as Im already on my 5th xbox and I dont even think my elite is a falcon although I never checked. doh

Sry too lazy to link the exclusive content contract and sell #'s

On another note though, Im not a big GTA fan, but I so want the lim. ed. lock box. Guys at EB games said it was exclusive to them, and yesterday was last preorder day DOH I missed it by 1/2 day DOHHHHH

Then I looked at Bestbuy and they got the lockbox?? wtf???
So I read many places that the EB release was gunna have something noone else had... for the life of me I cant figure out what it is.... any help appreciated! kthxby

for GTAV yes.

That story is old, or the one I remember reading before.

Looks to me like there isn't much of a problem now. Didn't they remove alot of features from the PS3 version? Like the music on the go or something.

the interview is new
I didn't see a date for the interview so I didn't know.

Takes 5-6 mins to install the game on the ps3? Why?
Dumps a large chunk of the game to the HD.
To help the ps3 along eh?

I heard it will take 20 mins just to play GT5. Is that how all of ps3 games are? I just started hearing about the "install times"

Please don't start that. (its faster than installing games on your PC) It allows less data to be read directly off the CD, less spinning, less loading, pretty much the opposite effect of Mass Effect. The 360 sadly can't do this because not everyone has a HD in their console, which is dumb. (which you probably have never played) Damn that was torture.

This is why I'm waiting for reviews of this game. To see what the loading is like. If it's anything like Mass Effect, I'm totally going PS3 (or PC).

Then why say?

Like it needs help to begin with.

It's taking advantage of something the 360 doesn't have. That's hardly bashing the 360. That's hardly being an inconvenience to the PS3.
