M1210 Pixel problems...

Ok, well I formatted my computer today. I installed all drivers to their newest versions via DELL.com and a resource CD, and I notice that the bottom row of my pixels are misaligned. What I mean is, the entire row of bottom pixels are moved left by about a centimeter.

All i know is that:
-it wasn't like that before I formatted earlier today
-it doesn't happen in full screen apps
-its not a problem with the taskbar, i tried all variations (ie. olive green, silver, win98)
-my nVidia drivers are newest
-reinstalling nVidia drivers doesn't help

I wouldnt mind, just that its really distracting having 2 mice down the bottom when you are swapping windows and using start etc. Even though its a small line it throws you off when your trying to be fast.

thnx, Alexander.S.

Eh I dont trust some of the Dell drivers. Try a different video driver. If you hook the laptop to an external display, what happens?

When its plugged into an external monitor, its all ok. The pixels line up, and its just normal.

If it helps, if I try to do a print screen, it appears that there is no problem...

Also i rolled back the drivers to a previous version and problem still remains...

(UPDATE)
When I rotate my screen 180, its still the bottom row of the screen that has the problem.

ie: bottom of monitor near hinge, not the taskbar which is now the top.

M1210 Pixel problems...

Hey guys... Had no luck with another the 'Notebook General' forum, so I thought I might ask people more familiar with the M1210 directly.

Well I formatted my lappy the other day, and now my bottom row of pixels are mis-aligned. What I mean, is that they are about a centimeter to the left and do not line up with all the ones above it.

What I know so far:
-Happened only after format
-Original and new drivers do not help problem (still remains)
-If I rotate display, the pixels on the screen still have problem
-It affects mouse and taskbar
-Doesn't seem to happen in full screen apps
-If I change res, its still that bottom pixel row
-If I screen shot, there appears to be no problem

Its really annoying when trying to quickly use taskbar. Because you get the illusion of having 2 mice.

thnx alot for any help
