WPA2 security choice reverts back to WPA...

I notice that my wireless security choice for my MBP keeps reverting back to WPA instead of the WPA2 which I have selected in Network/advanced settings.
My Trednet router is set to WPA2 security.
MBP 802.1x authentication is set to : PEAP, TTLS, & EAP-FAST

Any reason why I keep getting it switched back automatically?

I have all the latest MBP firmwares.

Can you still connect to the internet?

If so I would bet that it is working fine.
