I've had my M1530 for 5 days now and thus far I can truly say that I'm in love with my laptop. It's transformed my office and I had no qualms in getting my clunking older desktop outta there finally (and my g/f) has garnered a new love for me and my attention to decluttering.
So already I find myself running into issues - nothing major - but enough to make me chuckle with irony...(ahh the joys of Windows). I have an iPaq rx4540 running WM5 onboard. I have d/l'ed the new Windows Mobile Device Center for the M1530, installed it and configured it. I synced my iPaq with via USB with no problems. However, when I tried to sync via Bluetooth...well...lets just say I think I invented about three new curse words (I've applied to have them considered for entry into the next edition of the Oxford). This contrasts markedly with my Nokia N81 which I synced wirelessly with the M1530 the very first time I tried it via Bluetooth.
A quickly scan of Google this morning turned up all sorts of references to difficulties syncing a mobile device with WMDC enabled laptops (particularly those running WM5) but since I'm getting to like this forum a real lot I wanted to touch base here first.
Any advice, similar experiences, headaches, successes...?
(Oh and BTW - five days in with the new laptop and already I've picked up a virus/adware thing that I can't get rid of. Looks like I picked the wrong week to return to McAfee via the 15 month included subscription included with my laptop).
